  • Once we have established who exactly is liable for the offence of copyright infringement, a decision will be made as to which court track the issue is to be assigned to.

  • Individuals and companies may be able to provide an explanation as to the activity in their household or premises, these will be taken into consideration.

  • Civil copyright infringement claims will be heard in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, a division of the High Court. Private criminal prosecution court summons will be made in a Magistrate Court.
